Two Cars Catch Fire After Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-24-23 11:44 am
LOCATION: NB I-5 JSO Coronado Bridge
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

1. The male driver of the white van rear-ended the Ford Ranger being driven by a male.
2. The Ford then rear-ended another vehicle.
3. The ranger flipped onto its’ roof and caught on fire.
4. The 3rd vehicle then caught on fire.
5. All parties were out of the vehicles when the firefighters arrived.
6. The male in the Ranger was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
7. The CHP issued a SIG ALERT for the northbound I-5 and opened two lanes after approximately 15 minutes.
