Tustin: Camaro Burns After Slamming Into Big Rig
12.05.2018 | 10:30 PM | TUSTIN – At least three were hospitalized after the car they were riding in collided with a big rig and burst into flames, Wednesday night.
Authorities responded to the reported fiery crash on the southbound I-5 near Newport Avenue around 10:30 PM.
Crews arriving on scene found a crash involving a big rig and Chevrolet Camaro with three occupants outside of the vehicle.
The Corvette was engulfed in flames and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
All three occupants of the Camaro were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The big rig driver was uninjured and pulled to the shoulder after feeling the impact of the crash.
Police are investigating a combination of slick roads and speed as the cause of the crash.
