Tujunga: Woman Dies After Being Rescued From Burning Home

04.21.2020 | 1:39 AM | LOS ANGELES – An elderly woman was pronounced deceased after firefighter rescued her from a burning home, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 10700 block of Las Lunitas Avenue in the Tujunga area around 1:39 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a single-story home with fire showing and initiated an aggressive fire attack.

While battling the flames firefighters entered the home and rescued an elderly woman.

The woman was treated by firefighter paramedics but pronounced deceased from her injuries.

It took 39 firefighters just under 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

No other injuries were reported and investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
