Truck Slams into Telephone Pole Leaving it Hanging

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-29-24 3:33 am
LOCATION: 2500 blk of Willow Glenn Rd
AREA/CITY: Rancho San Diego
DETAILS:

 

1. The male driver, along with his female passenger, was driving eastbound on Willow Glen Rd when, for an unknown reason, he became distracted.
2. The truck veered to the right shoulder and hit a telephone pole, severing it.
3. The telephone pole was severed in half, and the top hang was left hanging, suspended in the air.
4. Neither person was injured.
5. DUI was not a factor in this incident.
6. SDG&E has been notified to come and replace the pole,
7. It’s not known if the repair will affect the power in the area.
