Truck Hits Patrol Vehicle While Blocking Freeway Ramp

INCIDENT DATE/TIME:  10-25-25 | 1:28 a.m.
LOCATION: 10100 N Fwy Service Rd (Northbound entrance ramp just before West Rd.)

DETAILS:

1. Officer-involved crash.

2. The officer was conducting traffic control for a prior crash on the freeway.

3. While blocking the entry ramp, a pickup truck struck the officer’s vehicle.

4. The collision caused severe damage to the patrol unit and injuries to the officer.

5. The officer was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

6. The suspect is in custody.

7. Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
