Truck Gets Stuck Under Overpass Near Yale Street In Houston

A truck struck an overpass Monday night in Houston, forcing authorities to shut down lanes in both directions as crews worked to clear the scene.

The incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. on September 21, 2026, near 100 Yale Street.

Houston police responded to the scene and blocked traffic in both directions following the collision.

According to HPD Lt. Horelica, who provided information off-camera, no injuries were reported.

A heavy-duty tow truck was seen at the scene, apparently preparing to remove the truck. It was not immediately clear how long the vehicle would remain at the location or when the affected lanes would reopen.
