Truck Crashes Lands In Pool Drowning Driver In Houston, TX

DETAILS:
- HPD units are investigating a fatal truck into a swimming pool.
- It’s believed a white pickup truck was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Boone Rd.
- For whatever reason the driver failed to stay in the roadway and jumped a curb, struck a tree, went through a chain link fence and landed in the community swimming pool.
- A HPD sergeant who arrived at the scene, jumped into the pool and attempted to rescue whomever was inside, but the sergeant was not able to pull the driver out and can see it was to late.
- The driver is believed to be a male.
- At this time HPD dive team is en route to the scene to recover the body.
- HPD VCD is investigating.
