Triple Fatal Street Racing Crash | Los Angeles
4.12.2021 | 10:50 PM | LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Three people died in a crash on a South Los Angeles street, authorities said today, and a news videographer at the scene reported the crash may have been the result of street racing. The crash was reported at 10:52 p.m. Sunday at Central and Florence avenues, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball. A “combative” crowd of 150-200 people gathered at the scene, Kimball added. The videographer said the crowd became aggressive toward law enforcement officers. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP log. Civilian video from the scene showed firefighters around a black sedan next to a Wells Fargo Bank building. An officer at the scene reported the vehicle ran into the brick area of the Wells Fargo Bank just east of the front entrance and that one window was smashed. Firefighters were called just after midnight to attend to a family member of the deceased who collapsed, the CHP said. Copyright 2021, City News Service, Inc.
