Tree Lands on House with 6 People Displaced

1. A 65-70 ft Pine tree fell on top of a home and an SUV.
2. One large branch penetrated the bedroom of a little girl.
3. No one was injured, but the family will be displaced.
4. The tree also brought down power lines.
5. The family told us that the tree had been leaning for years, and the ground gave way because of the recent heavy rains, which saturated it.
6. The tree is on SD City property, and work crews will soon clean up the mess.
7. The American Red Cross has been requested to come and aid the family
