According to Riverside County Sheriff Sgt., PIO, Deirdre Vickers, At 8:46 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a traffic collision in the area of Van Buren Boulevard and 56th Street. Upon arrival, deputies determined the vehicle collided with a horse. The driver (sole occupant) was pronounced deceased at the scene. The horse also died at the scene. The owner of the horse has not been located. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
