Tragic High-Speed Collision on I215 S | Audi Slams Into Semi, Two Dead at Scene | Riverside

- Riverside Fire Department and California Highway Patrol, Riverside Office responded to reports of a multiple-car traffic collision on the freeway. When they arrived on the scene they found a blue Audi, a second white car, and a semi about 200 yards up the road.
- Paramedics pronounced the two occupants of the Audi deceased at the scene.
- According to officers with California Highway Patrol, the blue Audi was speeding, possibly around 120 mph going southbound on the 215 when for unknown reasons it slammed into the semi, then flipped, killing both the driver and the passenger.
- At this time it is not clear if alcohol was a factor but according to CHP, speed was definitely a factor in the collision.
- In the video, you can see significant damage to the semi.
- According to the semi-driver, the car had to have been going very fast to have caused the damage that it did.
