Toyota Highlander Slams Into A House, Striking A Resident

CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:
- Cal Fire riverside County, Moreno Valley Station and Riverside County Sheriff, Moreno Valley responded to a reported vehicle vs a structure.
- When the first arriving units made it on scene they found a Toyota Highlander that had went through a wall and into a home.
- One person from in the home suffered minor injuries.
- The driver of the vehicle also suffered minor injuries, both were transported to a local area hospital.
- The hole is in the bedroom of the home where one person was when the car hit, it is unknown if they were in bed.
- The house received major damage, taking out the entire wall on one side.
- Crews are on scene boarding the house up.
- Red Cross has been notified to assist 3 people but at this time they are refusing and firefighters are doing their best to board up the home and have restored power.
- It does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor, but speed most likely played a role in the car coming off the road.
