DETAILS:
- According to witnesses, the male driver of a Toyota FJ Cruiser was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Olympic Parkway when he lost control of the vehicle.
- The vehicle careened onto the center divider, causing significant damage as it collided with two trees, completely severing them.
- The FJ rolled and landed on its side.
- The driver was able to get out as a fire started.
- The first Responders found heavy smoke coming from inside the cabin and put the fire out within 15 minutes.
- The driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
- The driver is suspected of DUI and will be evaluated at the hospital.
- Westbound Olympic Parkway is closed for the cleanup.
