Towsley Fire | Newhall

01.19.2021 | 2:35 PM | NEWHALL – A brush fire broke out inside the Towsley Canyon Park area.

The fire is fueled by medium brush and high winds. Winds at this time in SCV are approx 20 mph and are expected to continue throughout the night.

The fire is currently at five acres, with crews ordering night air support to help fight the fire. Huge flames can be seen from a distance.

Multiple Copters with LACoFD have been working since the fire erupted earlier this afternoon to try to contain the fire from spreading to houses.

There are houses nearby, but there is currently no structure threat.
