Torrance: Carjackers Crash Into Apartment Building

04.08.2019 | 9:27 PM | TORRANCE – Two subjects were left injured, and in custody, after a police pursuit Monday night.

Officers with the Torrance Police Department responded to the Target, located at 3433 Sepulveda Blvd, in regards to a female who was robbed of her Toyota sedan at gunpoint.

Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle traveling eastbound on Carson Street.

The suspects quickly took off from following officers, initiating a brief pursuit through the city.

The suspects lost control of the vehicle, crashing into an exterior wall of an apartment complex at Merrill Drive & Carson Street.

The suspects were detained and later transported to a local hospital.

No one else was injured in the chaotic series of events.

Officers could be seen taking pictures of a revolver that was used by the suspects in the crime.
