Three Teens Arrested While Attempting The KIA Challenge

DETAILS:
- 3 male teens were interrupted in the process of stealing a KIA vehicle.
- Officers surprised them as they started the car, but they backed into the car parked behind them.
- The three suspects then jumped out of the car and fled on foot, but officers caught them less than 50 yards away.
- While being questioned by the officers, someone mentioned the “KIA Challenge”, and all three started to smile or laugh.
- The KIA Challenge is where teens take videos of themselves breaking into KIAs and stealing cars and then post the video on social media platforms.
