Three Injured When Vehicle Crashes Into Two Buildings

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 04/17/23 2:00 A.M.
LOCATION: 4527 S western Ave
CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

  1. LAFD responded to a reported traffic accident.
  2. Units arrived to find a solo vehicle that struck the scaffolding causing a lower section to collapse.
  3. The car then struck the side of a restaurant next to the building under construction.
  4. Police are unable to see how much damage was done to the building till the scaffolding can be deemed safe to work around.
  5. At this time three females have been transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
  6. It is also unclear if all victims were in the vehicle or if two may have been pedestrians.
  7. The construction company and Building and Safety have been called to the scene.
  8. No other injuries have been reported.
  9. At this time it is unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
