Three Arrested After Overnight Houston Police Chase

An overnight police pursuit in northeast Houston ended with three suspects in custody and an officer injured during a foot chase.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on July 7, 2026, Houston Police initiated a felony stop involving a suspect vehicle, reportedly in the area of Interstate 10 and Waco Street.

The suspects fled, leading officers on a pursuit that ended near the Turning Basin U-turn at Loop 610.

Two suspects were taken into custody immediately after the vehicle stopped, while a third fled on foot.

Houston Police K-9 officers and Patrol Support Team (PST) units searched the area and eventually located the final suspect hiding in a nearby ditch. Authorities said the suspect may have resisted arrest before being taken into custody.

In total, three suspects were arrested.

During the foot pursuit, a Houston Police officer suffered a knee injury and was treated at the scene by Houston Fire Department EMS personnel.

Authorities have not released what the suspects were initially wanted for, and no additional information has been made available.

The investigation remains ongoing.
