Thousand Oaks: Pursuit Suspect Leads CHP All Over Ventura County

11.22.2020 | 12:30 AM | THOUSAND OAKS – CHP Moorpark units attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on northbound US-101 in Newbury Park.

The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The suspect continued north on the 101 into the city of Ventura where he merged onto northbound SR-33.

After several loops through Ventura, the suspect entered southbound lanes of the 101 where he led officers into the city of Camarillo where his vehicle was spike stripped.

The pursuit eventually terminated without incident after officers performed the PIT maneuver on the suspects vehicle on the 101 just south of Rancho Rd.
