Thousand Oaks: One Killed, Another Injured After Violent Ejection Crash

03.16.2019 | 11:54 PM | THOUSAND OAKS – A violent crash trapped one person and fatally ejected another, late Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a single vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Erbes Road and Westland Avenue around 11:54 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a vehicle with major damage and a male driver trapped in the wreckage. A female passenger was ejected from the car and located nearby.

Firefighter paramedics immediately transported the female victim to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The male driver had to be cut free from the vehicle and was later transported to an area hospital with major injuries.

Initial reports indicate the vehicle was traveling northbound when it lost control and struck a tree before overturning.
