Thousand Oaks: Firefighters Reunite Baby Racoon With Its Mother

08.17.2019 | 11:01 PM | THOUSAND OAKS – A baby racoon that become stuck in a storm drain was reunited with its mother thanks to firefighters, late Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a baby racoon stuck in a storm drain in the 1700 block of Via Pettirojo around 11:01 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a baby racoon stuck and crying for help.

Firefighters removed a large grate and discovered a mother racoon and another baby.

After consulting with Ventura County Animal Services it was determined the best course of action was to safely dislodge the baby racoon to reunite him.
