- In the video you can see active fire burning along Highway 74 near Pinyon Pines and dozers working on getting a fire break line in place.
- Crews are making good progress, with the night flying helicopters and several dozers working through the night.
- Temps have dropped and fire activity has slowed significantly but is still burning. .
- The active fire in the video is about 1 mile from the community of Pinyon Pines, which has been evacuated..
- Per Cal Fire, The fire remains 1,200 acres and 0% contained with evacuation orders and warnings in place, perĀ Cal Fire RRU on X. Firefighters on the ground and night-flying helicopters are on scene, fighting the fire throughout the night. The next update from Cal Fire RRU will be after 8AM on Tuesday, August 5th, unless significant fire activity occurs.
