The Line Fire Rages Out Of Control

DETAILS:
- The Line Fire which started around 6 PMM thursday burned away from the city of Highland and into San Bernardino National Forest, Has changed complete direction and made a heavy push towards homes in Highland.
- The smoke column could be seen leaning toward the east and then slowly started to turn south then south west as night time down canyon winds pushed the fire to move quickly through drainages, down slope throwing ember cast and smoke down on the city.
- Fire fighters are working to keep the fire above the city of highland as structure defense groups are spread through out baseline st. all the way down to to Tenaya Ln. and also dow off frontera Del Norte.
- Nigh time helicopters are working vigorously to support fire fighters on the ground that are putting in hose lays and hand line through out the night.
- There are no evacuations in place even the fire stands behind the homes however fire fighters are making a good stand took keep the fire from reaching the homes.
- The north side of the fire is deep into the san bernardino mountain in steep rugged terrain.
- The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
