The Columbia Fire Torches 58 Acres

LOCATION: 400 BLOCK OF COLUMBIA AVE
AREA/CITY: RIVERSIDE COUNTY
DETAILS:

  1. City of Riverside Fire Department responded at 8:09 a.m. to a report of a vegetation fire in the 400 block of Columbia Avenue. The fire is approximately 2 Acres with a potential for 75 acres. Air resources have been requested as well as additional engines. Requesting engines to report for structure defense at the end of Mt Vernon.
  2. The fire is now 35 acres, per incident command. Five additional Type 3 engines and two water tenders requested. There is still a moderate structure threat on Mount Vernon side. EVACUTION WARNINGS ARE IN PLACE.
  3. THE FIRE IS 35% CONTAINED AS OF 12:45 P.M. AND HAS BEEN MAPPED AT 57.7 ACRES.-EVACUATION ORDERS HAVE BEEN LIFTED.
