Texas DPS Trooper T-Bones Amazon 18 Wheeler During Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 950pm 10-31-23

DETAILS:

1. DPS initiated a pursuit of a woman on 99
2. The female was fleeing from troopers when she rammed a troopers vehicle, and ran over a troopers foot, and then was stopped by 2 pit maneuvers a short time later
3. 3 total DPS vehicles sustained damage in the pursuit and one trooper sustained a minor injury to his foot
4. An additional trooper crashed into a big rig at mason and Park Row on camera
5. That trooper was flown via lifeflight and their condition will be updated by the agency when available
6. 5 occupants were in the suspect vehicle, including 3 children, some in costumes
7. Candy can be seen outside the vehicle at the end of the pursuit
8. Multiple people were transported to nearby hospitals in varying condition from the suspect vehicle
9. Per radio traffic, the female suspect had a warrant out of Kansas, and she may have provided a fake name to troopers prior to fleeing the traffic stop (which is when the pursuit began).
