Tesla Flies Off Overpass Onto Freeway, Bursts Into Flames
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-3-24 | 10:58 p.m.
LOCATION: Riverside Dr & 134 Fwy W
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:
- LAFD & CHP responded to a report of a crash with one car on fire
- Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle on the center divider of the 134 on fire
- The vehicle drove off of the Riverside Dr bridge, through a fence & landed on the freeway below
- Two patients were able to self extricate from the vehicle
- A 65 year old male & 60 year old male were inside of the car at the time of the crash
- Both patients were transported by LAFD Paramedics
- The patients are listed in serious condition
- Firefighters are still battling the flames, it is believed to be a Tesla SUV
- There have been no other injuries reported at this time
- CHP has several lanes on both sides of the freeway closed while crews attempt to fully extinguish the fire
