Tesla Driver Seriously Injured After Horrific Fiery Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-6-23 2;50 a.m.
LOCATION: 1615 E. H St
CITY: Chula Vista
DETAILS:

1. The male driver of a Tesla was driving eastbound on E. H St, when he left the roadway and went up onto the center divider.
2. The Tesla hit and severed two very large trees.
3. The Tesla flipped and caught on fire.
4. The driver was extricated by residents.
5. The Telsa’s batteries were exploding causing additional danger to the firefighters.
6. Firefighters put the fire out, and there is debris in the westbound lanes.
7. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
8. DUI is suspected, and the CVPD will be investigating.
