1. A Tempe Police officer was involved in a collision at the intersection of East Rio Salado Pkwy and South McClintock Drive just after 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
2. The collision involved a marked Tempe Police Dodge Durango and a Honda Accord.
3. The force of the collision sent the Accord careening onto the sidewalk.
4. Tempe Fire was dispatched to the scene and evaluated both the officer and the driver of the sedan.
5. Both parties declined hospitalization and were treated on scene.
