Teenager Dead After Corolla Wraps Around Pole

Last night, just before 10 pm, a single vehicle collision occurred in the area of Muller St and Bayport Cir in the west district. Two occupants were trapped inside a Toyota Corolla and had to be extricated. Both were transported to the hospital where unfortunately the passenger was pronounced deceased. The driver is recovering at the hospital.

The coroner’s office will confirm the identities. However, we believe the passenger was a 19-year-old resident of Anaheim and the driver an 18-year-old resident of Anaheim.

A nitrous tank and alcohol were found in the vehicle. DUI is likely a factor in this incident. Our traffic collision investigators responded continue the investigation.
