- A young teenage girl was transported with serious injuries after being hit by a blue sedan in front of her home while getting dropped off by a friend.
- At around 9:30 PM, first responders were dispatched to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian in Highland.
- When they arrived on scene they found a young female had been struck by a blue sedan.
- The driver remained on the scene and appeared to be cooperating with law enforcement.
- CalFire BDU treated the young girl and quickly loaded her into an AMR unit.
- Her family could be seen crying and screaming as AMR was preparing to leave the scene.
- The Blue sedan which appeared to be a blue Toyota sedan, had extensive damage to the windshield and minor damage to the bumper and hood.
- At this point, the driver did not appear to be impaired and cooperated with law enforcement.
- The victim appeared to be awake and responsive in the ambulance but her full condition is unknown at this time.
- She was taken to a nearby hospital.
