Teen Seriously Injured In High-Speed Oceanside Crash

At approximately 10:05 p.m. on June 23, 2026, emergency crews responded to a major traffic collision near the intersection of North Melrose Drive and Oceanside Boulevard in Oceanside.

First responders arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle overturned on its roof after crashing into a tree and a light pole.

The 17-year-old driver had already been removed from the vehicle by bystanders before firefighters and paramedics arrived.

The teen was transported to a regional trauma center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling at an estimated 80 mph moments before the driver lost control, left the roadway, and overturned.

Oceanside Police traffic investigators remained at the scene for several hours documenting evidence and working to determine the exact cause of the collision.
