Teen Killed in High-Speed Crash | Riverside

09.08.2022 | 7:00 AM | RIVERSIDE – The city of Riverside emergency dispatch center received a call for service reference a single vehicle traffic collision in the area of Jackson Street and Audrey Avenue. Riverside police and fire personnel responded to the scene and located two occupants. The driver was an unresponsive adult female and the passenger was an adult male. Both occupants were transported to Riverside Community Hospital with the driver later being pronounced deceased. The passenger sustained major injuries but remained stable. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2000, Honda, Accord being driven by a 19 year old Riverside resident, was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound Jackson Street, lost control and collided into a telephone pole. At this time it is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors.
