Teen Girl Fatally Shoots 20-Year-Old Boyfriend

At approximately 9:13 p.m. on May 29, 2026, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 14800 block of Woodland Hills in the Humble area.

Responding deputies located a 20 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators they heard a male and female arguing shortly before gunshots rang out and observed a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area.

While deputies were investigating, a 17 year-old female returned to the scene in a dark vehicle and stated she had been present when the shooting occurred.

According to investigators, the male and female were involved in a dating relationship and did not live at the apartment complex.

Homicide detectives remained at the scene interviewing witnesses, canvassing for surveillance video, and gathering evidence to determine exactly what occurred.

Authorities believe the female may have been involved in the shooting, but investigators said it is too early to determine whether the incident involved self-defense. No outstanding suspects are being sought at this time, and the firearm has not been recovered.

The investigation remains ongoing.
