Teen & Dog Saved From Burning Apartment

DETAILS:

 

1. A fire of unknown cause is under investigation by the CVFD Fire Investigators.
2. When the firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a 1st-floor apartment.
3. Upon a search, they found a young teen male trapped in a back bedroom with his dog, and the firefighters rescued him and pulled the teen and his dog out through the bedroom window.
4. The teen was by himself inside the apartment.
5. The fire was in the living room/ kitchen area.
6. The neighbors were evacuated from the adjacent apartments.
7. The fire was put out quickly, but the family of two adults and the child will be displaced.
8. The American Red Cross has been requested to come and aid the family.
9. The child was transported to UCSD’s Burn Center for smoke inhalation.
