Technical Rescue After Wall Collapses on Workers in Lennox

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1-7-26, 11:53 a.m.
LOCATION: 4900 Lenox Blvd.
AREA/CITY: Lennox
DETAILS:

  1. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded for a technical rescue
  2. When units arrived, they found that it was not a building, but some type of wall had collapsed on multiple people.
  3. Several rescue teams from Los Angeles County Fire responded to assist, including LAFD USAR.
  4. There were a total of 3 victims, 2 were able to self extricate.
  5. One was transported suffering from unknown injuries, One refused transport and one victim required an extended extrication that took about an hour.
  6. He was transported suffering from unknown injuries, in stable condition.
  7. HERT, UCLA’s response team also responded for additional medical personnel at the scene.
  8. The 3 victims were part of a construction company who was working at the site, it appears that the wall gave out due to oversaturated soil from the recent heavy rains.
