Tarzana: Tourist Shot To Death In Armed Robbery Outside Airbnb Rental
09.21.2019 | 10:30 PM | LOS ANGELES – A tourist was shot to death by one of three armed men as he sat in a car outside an Airbnb rental, Saturday night.
Authorities responded to reports of an robbery with a man down outside a residence in the 18200 block of Sugarman Street in the Tarzana area around 10:30 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a male down suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.
Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene performed live saving measures as they transported the victim to an area hospital.
Tragically the man succumbed to his injured and was pronounced deceased an attending physician.
Initial reports indicate a group of three armed men approached the victim, reportedly a tourist in-town for a birthday, and demanded cash.
During the encounter a suspect opened fire on the victim for unknown reasons.
The group of suspects robbed the man before fleeing in a dark colored vehicle.
A witness reported that the home is an Airbnb rental and a matching listing was located but later removed.
An investigation is ongoing.
