Sylmar: Officers Search For Murder Suspect

11.09.2019 | 2:00 AM | LOS ANGELES – A search for a murder suspect was underway after the man crashed his car and fled from officers on foot, early Saturday morning.

Authorities attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be occupied by a man suspected of murder on the southbound I-5 Freeway near San Fernando in the Sylmar area around 2:00 AM.

When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop the suspect fled on foot prompting a large-scale search.

Inside the vehicle a handgun located however it was unclear if that weapon was related to the murder.

The suspect remains outstanding.
