Sylmar: Firefighters Extinguish Several Fires Along I-5 Freeway

07.07.2020 | 1:38 AM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters extinguished several small brush fires that broke out along the I-5 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to the first reported grass fire along the southbound I-5 Freeway near Roxford Street in the Sylmar area around 1:38 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located three small grass fires burning about a quarter-acre.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the the small fires when they noticed a fourth fire just north of their location.

The fourth fire was extinguished by crews already on scene.

The cause of the fires are under investigation.
