- A man was stabbed with a switchblade in the 1900 hour at 5270 Rainier Ave S at the Rainier House. The victim was transported to the hospital. Current condition unknown
- Police attempted contact with the suspect, who would only talk through the door of the apartment
- Eventually, a search/ arrest warrant was signed by a judge, and police attempted contact, though the suspect refused to respond at all.
- Eventually, SWAT was brought in
- They used explosives, audio, and finally, a chain saw to enter
