At approximately 6:00 p.m. on May 27, 2026, Houston Police executed a search warrant at a business on Richmond Avenue following a months-long investigation into alleged illegal gambling operations.
According to investigators, officers had received numerous complaints from nearby residents regarding suspected gambling activity at the location.
Undercover vice officers conducted multiple operations at the business and gathered evidence that led detectives to obtain both search and arrest warrants.
Authorities said the doors were locked and the business employed armed security, prompting SWAT officers to assist with serving the warrant.
Approximately 80 to 90 people were inside the establishment when officers entered.
Several employees were taken into custody as investigators seized gambling-related equipment, gaming tables, card game materials, and cash believed to be connected to the operation.
Police described the location as a social club that also served food and operated a banquet hall in the rear of the building.
No injuries to officers or patrons were reported during the operation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
