SUV Crashes Into Store, Pins Customer in LA County
At approximately 8:38am on March 25th, 2026, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies and CHP officers responded to a vehicle into structure incident at Florence Avenue and Hooper Avenue in the Florence area of Los Angeles County.
According to witnesses, a black SUV was parked in front of the store when the occupants were seen inhaling nitrous oxide from balloons. Moments later, the vehicle suddenly reversed into the storefront, shattering the entrance and pinning a customer against a refrigerator.
Witnesses reported yelling at the driver to move forward, allowing the victim to be freed. The suspect then fled the scene through the parking lot, allegedly throwing out nitrous oxide tanks while driving away.
The victim was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities stated surveillance footage was not immediately available due to access issues with the system. The investigation remained ongoing.
