SUV Crashes Into Flood Channel | Phoenix

 

7.27.22 | 1:30 A.M. | Phoenix Phoenix Police and Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle collision into the flood channel near 17th Avenue and Hatcher Road around 1:30 AM. Officers arrived to find a heavily damaged SUV that crashed through the rod iron fencing careening several feet down into the canal overflow. The vehicle was initially found to be unoccupied however a citizen reported witnessing an injured female climbing out if the canal near 19th Avenue a short time later. Crews made contact with the female who confirmed she was an occupant of the SUV. She was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
