Suspicious Second-Alarm Fire | Orange

10.16.2021 | 1:02 AM | ORANGE – Around 1 AM Saturday, a call was made to 9-1-1 reporting smoke coming from an abandoned YMCA facility on the 2200 block of East Palmyra Avenue in Orange.

Arriving units found smoke and flames coming out from the the west side of the building and called for a second alarm for additional resources.

Upon further investigation, an additional fire was found on the North side of the building as well as a ravine just West of the location.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the fires.

An arson investigator was requested due to the suspicious nature of the incident.
