Suspicious Fire Erupts Inside Elementary School Classroom | Ventura
07.22.2021 | 2:39 AM | VENTURA – The Ventura City Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at Mound Elementary School.
The First arriving engine company discovered a classroom at the rear of the school heavily involved in fire.
Firefighters protected adjoining classrooms while suppressing the main body of the fire.
The fire was held to the classroom of origin with two additional classrooms suffering heavy smoke damage.
The fire was completely extinguished 40 minutes after the initial 911 call was made.
The cause of the fire is suspicious in nature and remains under investigation.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
