Suspects Use Power Saw To Break Into Store During Takeover

Newly obtained surveillance video shows suspects breaking into a Bellflower business as a street takeover unfolded nearby early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on August 15, 2026, near Bellflower Boulevard and Somerset Boulevard.

Surveillance footage obtained on August 18 shows a large crowd gathered outside the business as sounds consistent with a street takeover can be heard in the background.

One suspect can be seen climbing up and breaking off surveillance cameras mounted near the front of the business.

Another suspect then appears to use a cordless rotary saw to cut through locks securing the entrance before the glass door is broken.

The footage captures the moments leading up to the break-in as numerous people remain gathered outside.

No information regarding what was taken from the business or whether any arrests have been made was immediately available.

The incident is being handled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lakewood Station.
