Suspected DUI Major Injury Crash | El Cajon

10.27.2022 | 2:30 AM | EL CAJON – The male driver of the Mercedes hit the male driver of the white truck as they were headed eastbound on the I-8.

The Mercedes left the freeway and went up an embankment and came back down landing on the freeway’s right shoulder wall.

The truck spun out hitting the center divider and rolled.

The driver was ejected.

The truck driver suffered major life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. His status is unknown at this time.

The driver of the Mercedes suffered an injury and was also transported in an unknown condition.

The Mercedes driver is suspected of DUI according to the CHP.

The CHP is investigating.
