Suspected Drunk Driver Killed In Houston Semi Crash
A suspected drunk driver was killed after crashing into the rear of a USPS truck Tuesday night in Houston.
At approximately 10:10 p.m. on August 25, 2026, authorities responded to the 10000 block of West Sam Houston Parkway North, near Grace Church, following a major traffic collision.
According to information provided by a Precinct 5 public information officer, the driver of a passenger vehicle allegedly struck the rear of a USPS 18-wheeler, causing the truck to overturn.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was ejected during the crash and pronounced deceased. Other occupants of the vehicle reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The passenger vehicle came to rest on a wall, while the USPS truck was left overturned. The postal truck did not appear to be pulling a trailer at the time of the collision.
The condition of the USPS driver was not immediately available.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
