Suspected Drug Smuggler Flees From Texas DPS

DETAILS:
- This morning Friday, January 19, 2024, State Troopers in the El Paso area attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 4-door sedan at an unknown location at 2:26 AM.
- The driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
- The driver lost control of the vehicle on Doniphan Dr near the Loop 375 on-ramp.
- Within seconds ground units blocked the vehicle.
- Two of the suspects fled on foot towards W. Paisano Dr and were caught moments later.
- In total four suspects were taken into custody with three arrested by State Troopers and one by Border Patrol Agents.
- A DPS unit was seen with a flat tire, it’s unknown if it hit a spike strip during the pursuit.
- No injuries were reported.
