Suspect Successfully Evades CHP After Hiding In Parking Garage During Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-8-24 | chase started 2:am over at 2:15am, car leaves at 5am

CHP started a chase in South LA that led them into a parking structure in downtown LA. The Mercedes SUV reached speeds of 120mph as it tried out-running the CHP and a helicopter. CHP vehicles were not able to keep up with the SUV and when it exited the freeway CHP 10-22d the pursuit. The helicopter followed the suspect to a parking garage at 808 S Olive where the suspect took a parking ticket and parked in a structure. CHP found the vehicle parked around 2:45am and had it towed away at 5:00am. Two suspects got away for now, CHP has the surveillance footage of the suspects parking and walking away.
