Suspect Shot By Police After Store Shooting In Houston

At approximately 11:12 p.m. on April 25, 2026, officers responded to a shooting at a business in the 13600 block of the East Freeway in Houston.

Investigators say the suspect was seen vandalizing and breaking into vehicles in the parking lot before opening fire on employees who had come outside. The employees retreated into the store, but the suspect followed them inside and continued shooting.

Officers arrived and encountered the suspect inside the business, where an exchange of gunfire occurred. The suspect was struck multiple times.

Officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived, and the suspect was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

No employees or officers were injured during the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing, with additional details expected to be released.
